In dealing with life and death in the NICU, Victoria Leland would often jot down and tuck away in a shoebox scripture verses that helped her understand the agony, the elation, the miracles, and the heartache she so often witnessed. As she became an avid amateur photographer and started taking pictures of her patients in the NICU, she collected her favorite neonatal photographs and added them to that shoebox, finding real therapeutic value in them. The Work of Your Hand compiles those verses, images, and her meditations on prayerfully working through the NICU experience. Her hope is to uplift Christian parents currently trying to cope with this very difficult life experience.
