O God, it is hard for me to think of my workplace as holy.
There is so much about my job that seems removed from the highest and best of heaven and earth. The thought that
my work has anything to do with your work of creation does not come easily. Yet your hand in the world is a
creative hand, providing ever new forms of usefulness and beauty. I don't often think of my work as redemptive
either, but I trust that you can use what my co-workers and I do to change the world for the better. So, God,
thank you for calling me to this job as a vocation to carry on your divine plan for this world. Help me to serve
you today in holiness. Amen.
